EMP MALAYSIA TIES UP WITH HOTEL CALIBER

30th. October 2012

EMP Malaysia has signed up with Hotel Caliber, Kuala Lumpur as our corporate partner to provide hotel rooms for our guest visitors from overseas.

Whenever our foreign visitors arrive for our factory visits to view their machinery under fabrication, sometimes they lodge themselves in the heart of Kuala Lumpur Central. As the traffic into KL Central is rather erratic and jammy during the peak hours, valuable time is wasted to pick the visitors in the centre of KL due to traffic jams.

For the convenience for our guests and to pick them up without any traffic hassle, we decided to partner with Hotel Caliber.

Hotel Caliber (www.hotelcaliber.com) is a reasonable priced hotel in the suburban of Cheras and is located about 5km from the KL City centre.

Hotel Caliber

It is near to the Middle Ring Road II, and there is abundant eating and entertain places around. In 5 years time, accessibility will be enhanced by the KL Mass Rapid Transit and there is a station nearby. When ready, our guests can go direct into the city by mass transit and jams will be something of the past.

Our company envisages more foreign guests to visit us next year and in the future. They can accept our offer to book for them if they decide to stay here. By booking with us directly, they can obtain better discount on their rooms. Hope our guests will be value this service.

EMP MALAYSIA QUOTES CREPE RUBBER PROCESSING LINE

22nd. October 2012

Our Projects and Engineering Division has been asked to submit our price quotation for the supply and delivery of a wet crepe rubber processing line to a Hong Kong based company.

They want to process cup lumps and slabs into dried rubber crepe about 1000mt/month. Their plant will be located in an ASEAN country.

We have submitted our proposal to them for their evaluation. Due to its production capacity, an automatic pre-cleaning and creping line is required. Manual creping will not be able to meet the production capacity.

MD TO INVEST IN SOLAR PV GENERATING SYSTEM

17th. October 2012

Our Managing Director will be investing in a home Solar Photovoltaic power generating system for 3.91kWp in our effort in generating power from the sun and reducing our carbon emission footprint.

By installing this Solar PV system, we will be feeding our electrical power to TNB grid and will be paid by TNB monthly based on our electrical power generation from the sun.

From our financial calculations, the amount of electrical power generated and the current FiT rates by TNB, the system is self-financing and the breakeven point is about 11-12 years based on an overdraft financing scheme.

On average, we expect an annual return of 10-12 per cent per annum from the investment for the next 21 years. Certainly, the return is better than having the money invested in FD of local banks.

Other benefits from installing this Solar PV power generating system besides the monetary benefit include a cooler roof and a smaller carbon emission foot print.

At the same time, we can add-value to our home. We also want to reduce our electrical power consumption by using energy saving devices such as inverter fridges, inverter air-conditioners, LED lights and a hot water recovery system for our showers.

The other major contributor to carbon emission is from our transport eg. our use of our cars by burning our petrol. This is another target area to look into.

If all goes well, our company may venture into such green technologies in the future.

Also, they have not found any detrimental effect to the wood of their rubber trees eventhough they use our Ethephon Plus. Besides, managing a rubber plantation, they also invested in a rubber wood kiln that dries rubber wood after the trees are cut down during replanting.
